How bad is non-stick cookware for birds?
Today I found out that we have been using non stick pots and pans for years and we have been using a George Foreman grill and the problem is, we have nine parrots in the house. I know non stick is terrible for birds, and I tried telling my mom that, but she won't listen to me. She has 3 parrots and loves them very much and knows that non stick is bad, but she won't listen to me. I have 6 parrots and I love them very much and I don't want them to die from the non stick cookware and George Foreman grill. Mom says that it's fine that we use non stick cookware because because we don't use it at excessive temperatures, but I don't think so. How bad is the non stick cookware for birds and will my birds be okay? If I need to get rid of all the non stick cookware, how do I persuade my parents into throwing it out? Also the types of parrots we have is a double yellow headed Amazon, a goffins cockatoo, a cockatiel, 4 budgies, a green cheek conure, and an african grey parrot if that helps.
Is Really nice cookware a forbidden Anniversary gift?
My wife loves to cook...it's one of her favorite things to do. She has been wanting a really nice Stainless Steel cookware set for a few years now, but hasn't been able to bring herself to spend that much money on herself. I've always heard that you never buy a woman cooking or cleaning implements as a gift. I understand the cleaning thing, but if cooking is a love of hers, is it a terrible Idea? It wouldn't be the only gift...just one of a few. It's our 10th, and I was also planning on a very expensive dinner, and a luxurious resort stay, maybe a sailing charter where we could renew our vows. Any other great ideas would be appreciated as well.

Ruffoni copper cookware?
Do you like Ruffoni Copper Cookware or not? I personally think the PRICE is WAYYYYY overrated, but the quality seems great. I like the Williams Sonoma line, with the acorn lids, but wow, the price really is obscene I have one piece that I've yet to cook in for fear of " messing it up" .Do you have any of the Ruffoni line, and if so, do you like it and what do you think of it?
Induction cookware question?
I'm thinking about buying an induction range top. I've researched it a little, and I know that I need the proper cookware in order for it to work. The pots need to be magnetic, and have a perfectly smooth bottom. I saw a review where someone said that they were using a set of Le Creuset successfully. Here is my question I have a set of Le Creuset, but it is 30 years old. The bottoms are mostly smooth, but there is a " dimple" in the middle. Maybe the new pots are different? Does anyone know if my old pots will work?
BIG PROBLEM! MY PARENTS ARE USING NONSTICK COOKWARE AROUND MY BIRD!?
So I got a baby lovebird about 5 days ago, and he is the most adorable thing in the world Before I got him, I did a llot of research and I found out that nonstick cookware is extremely toxic to birds and can instantly kill them once they are overheated. Well I asked my parents if we had nonstick pans, and they said " No." So I thought it would be safe and we got the bird. Well TODAY, I asked again just to make sure, and they were like " Of course we have nonstick cookware All of our pans are nonstick " I was like, " What? But you told me we didnt' have any " They were like " Oh. Well we do" I tried telling them that it is extremely dangerous to birds and could kill my lovebird he's 25 feet away from the stove , but they wouldn't listen They were like don't worry, he won't die. I was like, YES HE WILL DIE IF YOU OVERHEAT THE PAN So they got all mad at me and said I shouldn't treat my bird like he's sooo important. That got me REALLY mad. Anyway, they said they weren't going to stop using nonstick cookware so too bad. They were like " If he dies, he dies. We aren't going to change anything." Oh my gosh that just made me even madder and now I don't know what to do I really don't want my bird to die and I've only had him for 5 DAYS What do I do????There isn't really anywhere else to put it, except my bedroom . But I don't think it would get enough social interaction there cuz school is starting soon and I won't be there very much
